Emergency Response Center Alarm Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a positive, highly motivated individual to fill an opening in our U.L listed Emergency Response Center for a full time/permanent alarm dispatcher. The hours are second shift (230pm-11pm or 3pm-1130pm) and would include weekend and holiday hours as the center is a 24/7 operation. Benefits, vacation time & bonus programs are available. The job does require a candidate to pass a full background check and drug test. 

Job Description

• Monitor alarm signals and respond to alarms using the information provided on instruction screens.
• Places necessary outgoing calls to verify alarms, dispatch the proper authorities, and notify responsible parties.
• Handles incoming calls, providing answers to client questions and directing callers to the proper departments
• Needs the ability to remain calm and speak clearly to customers.
• Properly documents all responses for the alarm within the alarm monitoring software

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions including Microsoft Windows.
• Ability to type 30 Wpm minimum.
• Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable work ethic.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Needs the ability to prioritize.
• Needs the ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Must have the flexibility to work weekends or other shifts.
